Kids love it. But easy to scratch Jul 19, 2010 Kids love it and wanted to drink water from it immediately. However, it is so easy to get scratch if it is drop on a hard surface.
Great gift Apr 29, 2010 The dance and colorama ones are absolutely loved by my daughter, I hope my nephew loves his since he is into the solar system and planets now.
No leaks as long as the spout and lid are closed tight, and I know these will not fade as long as we hand wash.

The Peeling Planets Feb 25, 2010 My kids love these bottles. Why? Becasue of the vibrant color designs and interesting themes (dinosaurs, planets; jungle animals, trucks, etc.)
As a mom, I love them for the same reason, but also because the core of the bottle is made of stainless steel, a much more durable and safer alternative to plastic. They also keep cold beverages insulated better than plastic. They are also just the right size to fit into a convetional lunchbox.
BUT, I have complaints.
1) The exterior design, made of some type of laminate, peels off the bottle after just a short amount of routine wear and hand washing. I have the bottles for just about a month now, and they are all peeling in the same spot: bottom seam.
2) Not dishwasher safe. Need I say more.
3) The drinking spout is loose and if not shut all the way, it will leak. So I place the bottles in a ziploc freezer bag before packing them in a lunchbox.
4) The metal will react to certain acidic drinks... like apple juice. After about 10 hours in the bottle, the juice had a vinegary taste.
For ten bucks, this should be a better product. But looks alone, it would win a beauty contest.

leaks Feb 02, 2010 my 6 1/2 year old wanted this to replace a lost spce-themed sigg he took everyday to school. His teacher asked me to replace this one because it leaked, making all of his papers and folders wet. The lid is difficult to push all the way down and often looks closed but is just open enough to make a mess. I am replacing it with another sigg.
Joyful drinking Jan 30, 2010 I'm thoroughly delighted, and so is my granddaughter and family, with this colorful, durable and safe drinking vessel. It meets all the standards of being BPA-free, able to take the drops and rough treatment of children and it's bright and colorful. Her bottle even inspired my granddaughter and I to play a solar system game to name all the planets and their attributes whenever I pick her up from pre-K. I highly recommend it to all parents or grandparents who are looking for a safe, durable and great-looking alternative to unsafe plastic containers.
