This is great furniture for your older dollhouse lover. It is well-made and "playable". It is higher quality than the plastic stuff geared for young children -- it has the appearance of the collectible stuff made for collectors -- but is sturdy enough for true play. Overall, we have been very pleased. One caveat about the nursery set: the rocker is exactly the same rocker sold in the living room set only painted white. Not a big deal -- but a little disappointing to a thirteen year old who notices that stuff. :)

Very cute and sweet nursery room furniture. Comes as pictured and is a perfect size for the matching dollhouse. This room set does seem more fragile than the other rooms, but so far it has held up perfectly. Very detailed and my daughter loves it!

The product is more realistic than the simple wood dollhouse furniture. It appears to be good quality and our daughters have enjoyed/are enjoying it.

I purchased this furniture for my granddaughter to go along with her Melissa and Doug Victorian House. First let me explain my history of dollhouse furniture. As a little girl myself, my mother had bought me a Lundbey Dollhouse and she would purchase the furniture a room or a piece at a time, depending on the cost. It was smaller scale 1:18. but I loved my dollhouse and the furniture. I had a white baby grand piano, very modern bedroom suites lamps that actually worked etc. The furniture was expensive in the 1970s. Even though I was 5,6,7 years old and took good care of my toys...we still had to glue and repair a table leg or a lamp every now and then, after constent play. Now, when I purchased the Melissa and Doug furniture, I figured it would be close to the same quality as the Lundbey Furniture I had as a child...I made sure I had plenty of glue on hand to make quick repairs. My granddaughter is only two years old, and since the age limit is 6+ years I also assumed many small pieces would need to be put away for later. Well, we received several different rooms of furniture...the nursery being one of them, and Wow!!! what a surprise, the furniture is beautiful, far exceeded the quality I expected, and the two year old has not broken a piece (YET!). It is thick heavy and well made. The detail is great and much nicer than my Lundbey furniture as a kid....the only thing that could have made it better is real lights in the dollhouse with real lamps etc... guess that only a Lundbey thing. We are so happy with this purchase. I also read many reviews stating the furniture arrived broken or scratched...this was not the case for us. It was packaged well and in perfect condition. I will now be happy to purchase the remaining furniture...I am alittle afraid of the kitchen though...it has gotten some really bad write ups...If someone knows of a good alternitive to the melissa Doug kitchen for this doll house please let me know...I am open to recommendations.
