I BOUGHT THESE SHOES FOR MY DAUGHTER'S FIRST BIRTHDAY. SHE'D ALREADY BEEN WEARING A SIMILAR PAIR OF PEDIPEDS THAT WERE HANDED DOWN FROM HER COUSIN AND THOSE WERE GREAT! SHE LIKES TO PLAY WITH THE VELCRO CLOSURE, BUT THE SHOES MANAGE TO STAY ON HER FEET! THE ONLY THING TO NOTE IS THAT THEY RUN A LITTLE BIG. SIZE 6-12 MOS. ACTUALLY FIT LIKE 10-14 MOS.

After searching everywhere for a shoe that would stay on my daughter's feet and be comfortable for her too, I came across Pedipeds on Amazon. They are absolutely perfect for her little feet! They are lightweight and very flexible, so they didn't slow her down when she started walking. But as practical as they are for comfort and flexibility, I have not found any cuter shoes for infants either! I find these much more attractive than the Robeez and other similar brands. They are built to last too. My daughter has crawled and walked all over the place in these shoes, and all I have to do is wipe them off with a baby wipe and they look great. They are definitely worth the money! I'm sure we'll be buying more. Word of caution though...check out the size charts on Pedipeds website before you buy. I was going to buy my daughter's according to her age, and they would have swamped her little feet. She is currently 14 months old and still wearing the 6-12 month size.

I received pediped Originals Abigail Crib Shoe yesterday, size small, 6-12 month, in purple. They looked very cute and were a good fit. However, 5 (five!!) minutes into wearing them, they stained my baby's hands (she touched them) and clothes. I was unable to get the red stains off her skin with soap and water. It took 24 hours to get the stains off. 'Designed with love, pediped footwear combines comfort and fashion into a shoe that is pediatrician recommended.' - RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! THESE SHOES ARE A HAZARD, BEWARE!
UPDATE:
I've contacted pediped and they responded the next day. Here is an excerpt from their letter: "All of our shoes are dyed with non-toxic food grade dyes. The color in a suede shoe will transfer when the shoe get wet because we do not treat the shoe with chemicals to make the shoe waterproof."
I hope that this is true. Since shoes are manufactured in China, I am weary of any leaking dye. I'd be worried about that regardless of the manufacturing site. I will attempt another colour and maybe have a better luck.

If you go to pediped.com, you can download a size chart for your baby. My daughter is 12 months and already in 18-24 mo. size, she was in 12-18 mo since 8 months old. It depends on your baby. I love pedipeds, they are easy to put on and take off, my daughter usually takes them off in the car and when she's playing but they don't fall off on their own.

Pediped shoes are absolutely wonderful! They are made from very soft leather to allow your little one's foot to grow and develop naturally rather than forcing it to conform to the shape of a hard shoe. We have this shoe for our little girl in the brown/pink in size 18-24 months and it is perfectly sized for her foot with some room to grow. In fact she LOVES putting on her shoes because she thinks she's extra special. When she's in a mood, we offer her shoes and she immediately brightens up. The quality of the pediped shoes is top notch. The stitching is flawless and the quality of the leather makes me wish I could get shoes like this. The sole of the shoes has some special foam padding cushioning contact with the ground while still allowing your baby to feel the steps. As a bonus, it looks like the sole doesn't even show any wear on the outside. Inside our home, there is just enough grip on the leather that our baby doesn't slide on our hard floors. I believe the outside of the sole is coated with something but I can't feel anything different in texture. The velcro closure is easy to remove but it doesn't seem to wear out in the multiple daily off-on routines and grips like a champ. I HIGHLY recommend these shoes for your beginning walker!
