 dangerous for walking! Mar 16, 2010
Parents beware! I bought these shoes for my 14 month old daughter who has been walking since 10 months. The soles of the shoes are very slippery with no traction. The first day she tried them she fell and was sliding all over the place. I tried them again on a different type of floor, thinking maybe my hardwood floors were contributing to the problem...Big mistake! She fell and split her lip open. It seems that Pediped makes many infant shoes with this same type of slick bottom. These shoes are only good for babies who are not yet walking. Save your money. Prevent your child from getting injured by finding a shoe with real traction.

I got these in white for both my kids... they have lasted a super long time!! i wash them almost every week and they still look like new... and they are super confortable... i will be getting a larger size cause my girls really like to wear them!!

We didnt have any sizing issues - my daughter is 16 months and the 12-18 month fit her perfectly and have fit her since we bought them at 13 months. She also doesn't have any problems with slipping on our wood or tile floors in them. I am now buying a new pair for next spring. We got them in white, and although there is some scuffing, they still look nice. We get compliments all the time.

These are adorable shoes, no question, but they provide precious little support for tiny feet trying to walk. It may be that my daughter's foot is narrow, so they don;t grip her well, but they seem to slide around her foot as she tries to walk in them. The bottom of the show is also quite slippy, with no traction whatsoever, so she also has a harder time in these when she walks on our hardwood floors. They were great when she crawled more, but now that she's walking I have bought new shoes that fit more snugly and have better traction.

These are the best shoes I have ever bought for my daughter. I have bought them in every size since she was born. They go with almost every outfit and STAY OF HER FEET! Well worth the money the latest pair my daughter started wearing at about 11 months. She is 19 months and still has room to grow and they still look great!
