I have been searching for months for the right first show for my infant son. I have tried many different brands and none of them fit the bill. When I first looked into Pedipeds, I was a little intimidated buying his first shoes over the internet, but the Pediped site had a sizing guide that was easy to use. As soon as the shoes arrived, I knew they were going to be perfect. My son is in daycare and will moving to the 1 year old room soon so the shoes needed to be indoor/outdoor friendly and these shoes are that and more! Not only are they all leather but they are easy to clean, go well with any outfit and they are the first pair of shoes he hasn't tried to take off. They are just like pair of socks!
I wouldn't use short socks with these shoes because my son got small red marks on his legs from rubbing, but other than that, I would only recommend Pedipeds for babies first shoes!

These shoes are super cute and seem like they would be comfortable to wear. My 11 month old has no problem wearing them all day at daycare. They are durable, but then again, my son hasn't started walking yet. It doesn't seem like we'll have a problem, though. They do seem a little stiff, but that seems to be the trade-off with durability.

Very good quality, soft yet strong, very cool design and color (we have them in navy blue). We only purchase pediped from now on.

Received the light brown pediped original jake crib shoes today. My son is 18 months an just learning to walk. I slipped these on his feet and he had no problems walking in them. The soles are soft, yet very sturdy. The shoes are well made. These can be worn indoor or outdoor. I am very pleased with my purchase and would definately by pediped shoes again.

My son learned to walk in these. We have the blue ones -- they hide dirt well, are easy to get on and off (but are had for him to get out of), and are flexible yet good protection for his feet. They also look really cute. Recommended.
